Apartments for Seniors Communities
Map of Apartments for Seniors.
Many seniors in our metropolitan area are able to live independent full lives on their own, but have difficulty locating an apartment that is affordable to a person with limited income. Victory Housing has provided solutions to that challenge, too. We have developed four apartment communities for low-income seniors: two in Hyattsville (62-unit Manor Apartments and 88-unit Avondale Park Apartments); 76-unit Andrew Kim House in Olney; and 72-unit Trinity Terrace in Oxon Hill, completed in August 2004.

Among the many amenities for the buildings are a community/dining room where residents can socialize and enjoy meals if they choose, a wellness center, hobby and activity room, computer center to offer Internet access to residents, and a laundry room on each floor. The units will be leased to seniors earning 50% or less, of the area median income.

Another project currently under construction is Victory House of Palmer Park (69 units). Victory Heights (75 units) at 14th and Irving Streets, NW in Washington, DC, and Cheval Court, 2611 Luana Drive, Forestville, MD, will be under construction during Summer 2005.

We are pledged to the letter and spirit of U.S. Policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunity throughout the nation. We encourage and support an affirmative advertising and marketing program in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing because of race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status or national origin.
