What is Assisted Living?
Assisted living is a type of housing offering seniors a residential lifestyle with supportive services such as a dining program, medication management and personal care. Assisted living is not a nursing home. Seniors that can no longer live independently but do not need skilled nursing care typically find assisted living to be the best housing and service option for them.
What is Assisted Living by Victory Housing?
Victory Housing provides licensed level two assisted living to seniors 62 or better. Our assisted living communities are small in size serving from 15 to 45 residents. Because of our intimate design and size, our staff understands the unique needs and preferences of each resident. We provide housekeeping and laundry service; three nutritious meals a day with snacks; medication supervision; individualized personal care services and social, recreational, spiritual and educational programs. Providing a customized blend of supportive services for each resident fosters an environment promoting independence and comfort.
How much does assisted living cost?
Each assisted living community charges a monthly rent. There are no additional or hidden charges. Meals, housekeeping, activities, medication management and personal care are included in the monthly rent. Victory Housing is committed to providing affordable assisted living. With an established monthly rent, residents and families can budget accordingly with no surprise fees. Please call the location nearest you for pricing.
Is financial assistance available?
Victory Housing assisted living communities do not receive outside subsidies or support. We accept rental/housing assistance and partner with PG and Montgomery County for qualified residents at several locations. To assist seniors with moderate to low incomes, we offer internal financial assistance. This is need based and is available on a limited basis.
What type of accommodation is available?
Each assisted living community is unique. The size of each resident room will vary. All accommodations have private bathrooms and closets. Some locations have small kitchenettes with a sink, microwave and refrigerator. Like a bed and breakfast, well appointed common areas including living rooms, sunrooms, libraries, and television rooms are available to enjoy.
Can I bring my own furniture?
Residents are encouraged to bring their personal belongings including furniture with them. We encourage residents and their families to decorate and furnish their room to match their style and personality. Personal pictures, furniture, linens and knick knacks turn a room into a home. For those that do not want to bring in their own furniture, at no charge, we will provide a bed, nightstand, dresser, mirror, chair and lamp.
Can I bring my own car?
Residents with a valid Driver's license, registration and insurance are welcome to bring their cars.
Is there transportation available?
Scheduled transportation is made available at each Victory Housing assisted living residence. A fifteen passenger bus with wheelchair lift takes residents to outings such as restaurants, stores and market, theatre, parks and site seeing.
What happens if I need more care?
Our mission is to care for our residents as long as possible without compromising the quality of care and life of each resident. Should Hospice services be required, each Victory Housing assisted living community will partner to provide the best care and quality of life until the end. In the event that a resident requires more nursing services than we can responsibly provide, our trained management team will assist each resident and their family in identifying the best next step for them.
