Victory Housing is a 25-year-old private, non-profit tax-exempt human service organization. Our mission is to preserve and expand the supply of high quality affordable housing, and to provide comprehensive support services for our low- and moderate-income neighbors throughout the Washington metropolitan region.
In our assisted living residences, we offer amenities and supportive services that meet the needs of residents in attractive, well-designed facilities, that accommodate those with impaired mobility and offer many social and recreational activities -- as well as being affordable. To ensure that we meet this goal with our six assisted living communities in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties, Victory Housing usually takes on the unique role of developer, owner and manager.
Our experience with elderly housing has helped us to understand broader housing and social issues that impact families. During the 1990s, we undertook a number of properties for special populations including: we were a part of a team that built an 85-unit townhouse development for low-income families in Capitol Heights, Maryland. Since then we have built or rehabilitated over 1,200 units of family housing throughout the Washington metropolitan region. Our developments include computer-learning laboratories; well-designed children's play areas, open space, and good transportation access, including several of our own Victory Housing Transit Vans. As you can see, Victory Housing is a comprehensive housing and service provider that now operates in many jurisdictions in the greater Washington marketplace. We expect to continue to reach new heights of success in our industry. Our winning housing solutions make a difference for families that need a stable home environment in a safe, secure and supportive community.
